Welcome to my web site.  For those of you who don't know me, I attended the Art Institute of Chicago while growing up on the North Shore of the Windy City and majored in Fine Art at the University of Colorado in Boulder.  I am located in sunny Los Angeles, California and love to paint seascapes as well as portraits that are mostly commissioned.

Someone once said, "A painting is never finished, it just stops at interesting places."  This explains how the process of oil painting is for me.  My style of painting tends to be detailed and tight, depending on how much time I spend on the painting.

I am not a plein air painter because the bugs bother me too much.  They seem to be attracted to the paint.  I paint mostly from photographs that I shoot or are provided to me by my clients.  I've chosen a few paintings for you to see as examples of my work.  I hope you enjoy your visit.  Feel free to e-mail me at Susan2002@aol.com with any questions you might have.
